A trigger is the short sequence that tells SprintBrain you want a snippet or a prompt:

Change a trigger

1

Open Settings

In the dashboard, open Settings. The Triggers & Prefix card is on the Account tab.
2

Type the new sequence

Change the Snippet or Prompt box. It saves when you click away, and shows Saved.
A trigger must be:
  • 1 to 5 characters, with no spaces.
  • Not a single letter or number, so it can’t fire while you write normal text.
  • Different from the other trigger, and not the start of it. :: and ::x can’t both be used.
The extension and your phone pick up the change on their own.

Extension options

Three more options live in the extension itself: click the SprintBrain icon in Chrome, then the gear.
  • Suggest on selection: offer matching snippets when you select text in a field. On by default.
  • Automatic capitalization: start a snippet with a capital letter at the start of a sentence. On by default.
  • Default Language: the language picked first when a snippet has several.
These belong to that browser only.
