Open app.sprintbrain.com/mobile in your phone’s browser and sign in. Opening app.sprintbrain.com on a phone takes you there too. The phone page reads the same library as the dashboard and the extension. What you change on the computer shows up here.

Find a snippet

  • Search from the box at the top.
  • Open the filters to narrow the list by folder, language and label.
  • Snippets load 25 at a time. Scroll down and tap Load more for the rest.
  • A badge next to the name shows a snippet that is not approved yet, or is deprecated. A deprecated snippet still works: it shows a warning when you open it and when you copy it. Archived snippets, prompts and Brain items don’t appear on the phone. See Review and approval.

Use a snippet

Tap ⋯ on a snippet:
  • Use now: copies the snippet. If it has fields or several languages, it opens the snippet first, so you can pick the language and fill in the form, then tap Copy or Share.
  • Copy text: copies it as it is.
  • Pin to top: keeps it at the top of your list.
  • Share…: sends the text through your phone’s Share menu. If the snippet has fields, it opens the snippet first, so you can fill them in, then tap Share.
  • Snippet info: shows its details.
What you type in a field shows in bold, while the snippet’s own words around it stay grey, so you can tell your part of the message from the rest. The copied or shared text is plain.

Share instead of paste

Under a snippet you’ve opened, Share sits next to Copy. It opens your phone’s Share menu with the finished text: pick WhatsApp, email, Messages or any other app, then the chat or contact, and the text is already in the message box. Nothing to paste. Copy is still there for apps that aren’t in the Share menu: tap it, switch to the app, and paste. If your phone’s browser has no Share menu, you only see Copy.

Prompts

Tap Prompts at the top to switch to your prompt library. Each prompt has the same menu, with Prompt info instead of Snippet info. A prompt has nothing to fill in, so Share… sends it straight away through your phone’s Share menu. If Interactive Steps is switched on in this browser, copied prompts start with the step-by-step instructions. See Write a prompt.

Brains

Tap Brains at the top to see your Brains. Tap one to open it and see what’s inside, then tap an item to read all of it, then Copy it or Share it to another app.
  • Copy whole Brain: copies every item in the Brain as one block, ready to paste into ChatGPT, Claude or another AI app, in the same form the Context button uses on a computer. If the Brain is long, the page says so: some AI apps cut a long paste, so check what arrived.
  • Add text: adds a new item to the Brain. Give it a name and a body; the summary is optional. It saves to the same library the dashboard shows.
  • Paste & save: saves what you copied, text or a link, into the Brain. See Save from other apps.
  • Search from the box at the top. From the list of Brains it looks inside every Brain; inside a Brain, only in that one.
  • Open the filters to show one kind of item: facts, notes, documents or conversations.
Tap ⋯ on an item:
  • Use now: copies it ready for an AI chat, with its name, the way the Context button adds it.
  • Copy text: copies only its text.
  • Share…: sends the text through your phone’s Share menu.
  • Item info: shows its Brain, kind, size and dates.
Tap ⋯ on a Brain to Open it, Copy whole Brain, Share… it, Add text or Paste & save to it, or see Brain info.

Save from other apps

Found something worth keeping while you browse: a paragraph, a link, an answer? Send it to a Brain without retyping it. Each way below opens Save to Brain with the text: pick the Brain, change the text if you like, and tap Save. SprintBrain picks the Brain for you: the one whose name, description and items share the most words with what you’re saving. The line under the Brain list says why, for example Suggested because it mentions pasta and recipe. If two Brains fit equally, it names both; if none fits, it says No Brain fits this yet and keeps the Brain you used last. Pick another Brain whenever you like: SprintBrain leaves your choice alone. Everything happens on your phone, and nothing is sent anywhere to decide. It goes by words only, so a new, empty Brain is found only through its name and description. Give each Brain a description with the words its items will use, for example Recipes, pasta, ricette, and it is suggested from the first save. The item is saved as a note, named after the page, or after its first words, followed by the date and time. A shared link stays in the text, so you can find the page again. Very long text is saved as several items, numbered in order.

Paste & save, on any phone

  1. Copy the text or the link in any app.
  2. Open SprintBrain, tap Brains, then Paste & save. Inside a Brain, it saves to that Brain.
  3. Check the Brain and tap Save.
If your phone asks whether SprintBrain may paste, allow it. If the text doesn’t appear, press and hold the empty box and tap Paste.

From the Share menu, on Android

Add SprintBrain to your phone once:
  1. Open app.sprintbrain.com/mobile in Chrome and sign in.
  2. Tap ⋮, then Add to Home screen and Install. Some phones call it Install app.
From then on, SprintBrain is listed when you tap Share in Chrome or in any other app. Pick it, and Save to Brain opens with what you shared.

With a Shortcut, on iPhone

An iPhone doesn’t list web apps in its Share menu, so a Shortcut takes their place. Set it up once in the Shortcuts app:
  1. Tap + to start a new shortcut.
  2. Add the action URL Encode. It encodes the Shortcut Input.
  3. Add the action Open URLs. In its box, type https://app.sprintbrain.com/mobile/?text= and, right after it, insert the variable URL Encoded Text.
  4. Rename the shortcut Save to SprintBrain.
  5. Open the shortcut’s details (ⓘ) and turn on Show in Share Sheet.
Now tap Share in Safari or in any app and pick Save to SprintBrain. SprintBrain opens in Safari with what you shared; the first time, sign in there.

Ask a question

Type a question in the search box on the Snippets, Prompts or Brains page and tap Ask SprintBrain under it. The answer comes only from your own snippets and Brains, with its sources listed: tap one to open it. Copy answer copies the text, and Was this right? sends your feedback for review. See Ask SprintBrain.
