On the Prompts page, click New prompt. The editor opens on the right. To change a prompt later, click its card. To start from text you already have, click Draft from text at the top of a new prompt and paste it. See Draft with AI.

Name and shortcut

  • Prompt name: how the prompt appears in lists and menus.
  • Shortcut (optional): letters, numbers, - and _. With the shortcut followup, typing """followup in any text field inserts the prompt at once. Leave it empty to reach the prompt from the menu only.

Blocks

A prompt is built from up to five blocks. Switch on the ones the task needs: Role and Objective start switched on. On a new prompt, Load example fills the blocks with a sample to start from.

Ask User Questions

On by default. The AI asks you clarifying questions before it does the task: one at a time, no more than five, and it asks you to confirm before it gives the final result. Switch it off to skip the questions. This setting is saved with the prompt.

Interactive Steps

Off by default. The AI first lists the steps it plans to take, then works one step at a time and waits for your answer before the next. This setting isn’t saved with the prompt. It applies to every prompt you copy, and is kept per browser: the dashboard and the phone page share it in the same browser. The Chrome extension has its own Interactive Steps switch in the popup’s Prompts tab, for prompts you copy or insert with the extension.
