A Brain is a collection of what your AI assistant should know about your work: facts, notes, documents and saved conversations. You keep it in SprintBrain, and add the relevant parts to a chat in ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant when you need them.

Create a Brain

1

Open Brains

In the dashboard sidebar, click Brains.
2

Click New Brain

Give it a name, like Product reference, and a line on what belongs in it. Use the words its items will use: SprintBrain reads them to suggest this Brain when you save something.
3

Click Create Brain

It opens, ready for its first item.
One Brain is your default. It can’t be moved to the trash.

Fill a Brain

  • Add text: write a fact, a note or a conversation. Give it a name, a one-line Summary and the Body. The editor shows how long it is in tokens, the unit AI assistants measure text in. Draft from text at the top of the editor names and summarises text you paste. See Draft with AI.
  • Upload file: PDF, Word (.docx), text (.txt, .md) or CSV files up to 20 MB. SprintBrain reads the text and splits it into pieces your assistant can use.
  • Always attached: switch this on for items that should go into every context you add, like your house style.
Keep each fact to a single idea. Short, separate items fit into a chat more easily than one long one. Each item keeps its earlier versions: open it and click History to see them and restore one.

Review status

Each item has a review status, like snippets and prompts. Items an AI assistant saves into your Brains are marked AI generated until you approve them. A deprecated item still works, and the Context button marks it before you add it to a chat. An archived item is never added to a chat. See Review and approval.

Use a Brain in an AI chat

On ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, DeepSeek and Copilot, the extension adds a Context button next to the message box.
  1. Start writing your message.
  2. Click Context, or press Ctrl Shift M (Cmd Shift M on a Mac).
  3. SprintBrain picks the items that match what you’re writing and puts them above your message as normal text.
You see exactly what will be sent, and you can edit or delete any of it before you send.

On your phone

On the phone page, tap Brains, open a Brain and tap Copy whole Brain. Paste it into the AI app at the start of your message. You can also copy or share a single item.

Save things into a Brain

  • Selected text on any page: highlight it, right-click and choose Save selection to SprintBrain. Pick a Brain and click Save.
  • A whole AI conversation: on a ChatGPT or Claude conversation, open the SprintBrain popup. A Save this chat card appears. Pick a Brain and click Save.
  • From your phone: share text or a link from any app to SprintBrain, or copy it and tap Paste & save. See Save from other apps. To write an item yourself, open a Brain on the phone page and tap Add text.
Each of these suggests the Brain that fits best: the one whose name, description and items share the most words with what you’re saving. A line under the Brain list says why, or that no Brain fits yet, in which case the Brain you used last stays selected. You can always pick another. A Brain’s description helps here: list the words its items use.

Trash

Items, files and whole Brains go to the trash first. Open Trash to restore them, or delete them for good. Deleting a Brain for good removes everything in it, files included.
You manage Brains in the dashboard. The phone page reads, copies and adds to them; creating, renaming and deleting Brains, editing items and uploading files happen on a computer.
