Notion sync is optional. It’s for teams who write or review their wording in a Notion database.
Notion sync is separate from team sharing. Sharing happens inside SprintBrain and reaches teammates at once. Notion sync brings snippets in from your own Notion database. See Sharing and permissions.

Connect your database

1

Create a Notion integration

In Notion, create an internal integration at notion.so/my-integrations and copy its secret. Then open your database in Notion and give that integration access to it.
2

Open Settings

In the SprintBrain dashboard, open Settings, then the Notion sync tab.
3

Paste your details

Paste the secret into Notion API key, and your database’s ID into Notion database ID. The ID is the long code in the database’s link, before the ?.
4

Save

Click Save credentials. The extension picks them up by itself: you don’t enter them twice.
The status line shows Connected, Not configured or Sync error, and when the last sync ran.

How your database must look

SprintBrain reads these columns. The names have to match exactly: A row without a name or a shortcut is skipped. A database with a single Body column also works, for one language.
There is no French column, so French bodies don’t sync with Notion.

When it syncs

  • The Chrome extension checks your database every five minutes in the background.
  • It checks again each time you open the SprintBrain popup, and saves new and changed rows as snippets in your library.
